Massala - Average Fare !!!!

Back after dinner at 'Massala'- The Karvin Hotel group.

On entry, except for the music playing in the background, there was nothing to indicate that you are about to experience a slice of India.

The menu was limited. Not much variety as you would expect in an Indian restaurant.
The service was good. Would really appreciate if they would try not to hurry us up in giving the order. It is a really annoying habit.

Food was good. Lacked the pungency that you would expect. Paneer Palak was tasteless without salt, which of course, we didn't highlight. Dessert was OK OK types. Nothing to go Ga-Ga.

A word for the folks who manage the hotel there - Please do not encourage smoking in the eating area.

And if you really want to show your guests something, please do it before they order food. I know you have a very good lounge and sheesha-bar at the sixth floor, but please don't expect me to take the pains to oblige to your request.

Overall - Good one, if you are really starving for some good Indian food, Go to Massala.

P.S:- The cost is slightly on the higher side. A dinner for a couple would come close to a 140-160 pounds, which according to the standards I see in Cairo are a tad on the higher side.

P.P.S:- The tax is 12% and then 10%, making it a whopping 22%. So think twice before you want to venture there.

P.P.P.S:- Is located off the El-Nozha street. Just after the flyover, if you are approaching from City-Stars.

P.P.P.P.S:- Nothing like too much build up to spoil reputation. So go with less expectations. :)
